Workshop News
Outside Customer work
As we slowly return to as near normal as we can, we are focusing the majority of the work within our workshop toward “Outside Customer” work.
From 27th of July there will be one workshop engineer on duty in the workshop every day and the rest of the team of three will be on flexible Furlough.
Naturally the Monorail and the living history vehicle will take priority as it is vitally important for us to ensure our visitors have the best possible experience during their visit.
However, as we will be concentrating on customer work – if you have, or you know of anybody who wishes work to be undertaken on their classic car – this is your opportunity to book!
Please could all requests for work on your car come to Heather Jackson, who will then let you know if we are available to undertake the task.
2020 Programme
You would have received the following update in our newsletter sent earlier this month on our plans for the remainder of 2020.
Given the continued uncertainty the decision has been made to postpone the following events until 2021:
• Palace House Summer barbecue (25th July) – Postponed until 2021
• Rally through Brittany – Postponed until 2021
• The Annual Dinner and Auction – Postponed until 9th October 2021.
We will be looking at running some impromptu gatherings as and when guidelines allow, and have consent from some of you to be notified via WhatsApp if needs be.
The Beaulieu attraction, including the National Motor Museum, has now reopened along with the new Motoring in Miniature exhibition. Tickets need to be pre-booked via the new booking system on the Beaulieu website as part of Covid-19 procedures.
We are pleased to announce that a number of Simply rallies will be taking place between now and the end of the year. Please note these are limited to 500 people and some are already sold out.
- B100 pass holders will need to phone the Events Office on 01590 614614 to pre-order tickets as long as space permits.
- There will be no entry on the day for B100 pass holders without pre-booked tickets.
- The usual allowance of tickets applies to B100 passes.
Please visit the Beaulieu website for a list of events for the remainder of 2020.
Membership
Your membership is very important to us, if you need to discuss your membership fees please contact Heather Jackson and she will discuss the options with you.
As you know, we are a charity with no regular support from other organisations and we are facing a very challenging period. You are already showing your support by continuing to remain a member but if you are also able to make a further donation to the National Motor Museum Trust, then please visit our donations page or contact Heather Jackson.
Thank you for your continued support, stay safe and well and we will look forward to meeting again in the future.
