The 2023 Beaulieu 100 Annual Dinner: Sunbeam 1000hp at the Royal Automobile Club’s Woodcote Park

The Beaulieu 100 dinner was held on Saturday 14 October at the Royal Automobile Club, Woodcote Park. With a Sunbeam 1000hp World Land Speed Record vehicle theme the evening was a huge success, and the charity auction raised a large amount for the Sunbeam 1000hp restoration campaign.

Congratulations to photographer Amy Shore for winning the Young Pioneer of the Year award, and Doug Hill our Museum Manager & Chief Engineer who was rightly recognised for 50 years’ service to the Museum with the Lifetime Achievement award.

Winner of the Young Pioneer of the Year award, Amy Shore, has kept her maiden name for her photography business. Now also known as Amy Heynes, our Young Pioneer mainly photographs car and motorbike related subjects. Her portfolio tends to revolve around people, whether it’s in workshops, road trips, events, breaking records or just a great story.

Amy has worked for some amazing clients such as Goodwood, Jaguar Land Rover, BMW, MINI, Octane magazine, Evo magazine, Revolution magazine, Ramp magazine, Lexus, Renault Alpine, Triumph, Classic Driver, The Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride and many more. She can also be found behind a microphone as a regular co-host of The Driven Chat Podcast alongside John Marcar, More recently, Amy and her husband opened the doors to a classic Jaguar restoration, preservation and servicing workshop, William Heynes Ltd. In 2017 Amy became Nikon‘s newest and youngest UK ambassador, and is now a Nikon Europe Ambassador,

Our Lifetime Achievement award winner Doug Hill, Museum Manager & Chief Engineer at the Museum, joined Beaulieu as a 16-year-old apprentice. Doug has made the National Motor Museum his life’s work and over the years accompanied the late Lord Edward Montagu at numerous rallies across the world in the museum’s vehicles. He was awarded the President’s Trophy in the Guild of Motoring Writers Awards in 2015 in recognition of his outstanding achievement in the field of international automobilism.
