Meridien Modena & Palace House summer evening – July 8th

Members were privy to a jaw dropping selection of Ferraris when they met up on Saturday morning for a behind the scenes peek into Meridien Modena’s stunning workshops and showroom. Workshops are usually windowless, soulless boxes, but this was sleek, modern and stylish!

The day ended with members meeting up for sundowners on the lawns of Palace House, where they parked up their own impressive array of pride and joys.

The museum provided it’s own set of wheels – a 1908 Unic Taxi Cab – for members to experience a ride around the grounds and take in the Sculpture at Beaulieu exhibition.

What looked to be a lovely sunny afternoon quickly turned into a miserable drizzle. Unfazed the members shook off their umbrellas and moved into Palace House and were warmed in the knowledge they were congregated where the museum first started.

Delicious canapés, creamy Cuvée and great conversation flowed. Typically it was all clear skies when members departed!

Thanks to all the member’s who travelled far and wide to make this another enjoyable day!

John Mayhead valiantly attempted to get here but his gorgeous 1931 MG ran out of puff at Hedge end. So sorry John – You were so close and missed!

Nigel Taylor – thank you once again for the delicious Hambledon Cuvée. I am pleased that we are finally able to offer this at Beaulieu.

Lastly, a very big thank you to Lord and Lady Montagu for opening Palace House for us all to gather and catch up. It was a thoroughly enjoyable day!
