Speed Queens Friends’ evening

Members met up again at the recent  Friends’ evening held in the Collections Centre on Saturday 28th April, to listen to two Speed Queens, Beaulieu One Hundred member Bron Burrell, and Tina Kerridge Reynolds, tell us their wonderful story of being part of an all-female crew in the gruelling London to Mexico World Cup Rally in 1970.

They started rallying in the 70s, and nearly 50 years later, the two of them, both in their 70’s – are wanting to do it again!

Read here all about the dream team’s endeavours to get Puff, (apt that she is Number 20) and themselves, back to Mexico in 2020 to complete the rally that they started nearly 50 years ago!

Puff’s journey has captured the hearts of the public and the media, and they will need some well-connected people to get these ‘big wheels moving’!

We wish them the best of luck and will be closely following their story.

It’s not too late to book here  for the next outing to Prodrive and Base Performance Simulators on the 15th May.  A chance to get an exclusive insight into the world of the racing driver, with sole use of a BPS simulator – where you could be screaming down the Mulsanne straight at Le Mans in an Aston Martin Vantage, or perhaps snaking through the streets of Monaco in a classic grand prix car.

Look forward to seeing you soon!
