Aston Martin Red Bull Racing Factory Tour and Simply Aston Martin

It’s all about Aston Martin!

Aston Martin Red Bull Racing opened the doors of their factory  exclusively to 12 Beaulieu One Hundred members last week.

Taking us through the life cycle of getting the championship contender out on track, the behind-the-scenes tour took us through the actual working factory, where we were walked through the initial design and development processes, to the eventual Manufacturing and Assembly phases.

As we were taken deep into the factory, there were hands-on opportunities to handle intricate car parts and ask questions along the way. In the Hall of Fame we were able to take pictures of the iconic cars from years gone by.

After the tour ended we were ready to refuel with the liquid refreshment that was on offer!  I wonder what that was!

Meanwhile, back at Beaulieu,  on a rather soggy Sunday, the first of the Simply events kicked off with Aston Martin. It was great to meet so many members who braved the weather and came through for the day! Beaulieu One Hundred member, John Smith – all the way from Huddersfield in Yorkshire – braved the rain and came runner up in the Peoples Choice Award with his stunning 1988 Aston Martin V8 Vantage Volante x Pack which he has owned for 6 years, doing all the routine maintenance by himself.  Well done John!

Next up at Beaulieu is the Boatjumble on 22nd April and next month on the Social Programme, the tour of Prodrive and Base Performance Simulators on 15th May.
Coincidentally, the Aston Martin/Red Bull Marketing Campaign featuring Daniel Ricciardo (F1 Red Bull Racing) and Darren Turner (triple Le Mans winner and Aston Martin factory driver) took place at Base Performance, so here are some fun clips of what to expect on the day!
