What a great weekend !

On Friday 4th, Heather had reserved a table for Beaulieu One Hundred members at Goodwood for their Christmas Celebration evening which was hosted by Lord March.

We were in good company as Fay and I joined Heather along with another six Beaulieu One Hundred members.  The evening began with an amazing school choir that entertained us whilst we enjoyed the champagne reception, before being seated for the sumptuous meal where the wine flowed freely!

After the meal we all gathered outside for mulled wine and a musical firework display.

Back in the ballroom a live band and, possibly more entertaining, ‘dancing’ until carriages at 1 a.m.

A most enjoyable evening.

Sat 5th saw us back at Beaulieu for an evening with ‘Murray Walker on Monaco’ and as usual he didn’t disappoint. I really cannot believe Murray is 92 years of age!

So many stories, so many memories, which he generously shared with us.

Question time saw him recalling many bygone memories, so much so, on occasion he forgot the original question…but no one minded!

Hopefully, there will be many more evenings with Murray to come. Is Murray really 92 ?

Unbelievable!
