Grand Prix Ball

On a very warm and sunny evening on 1st July, a number of Beaulieu One Hundred members enjoyed a fun-filled evening at the Grand Prix Ball at the Hurlingham Club in London.

The evening started with a champagne reception and a stunning acrobatic display.

This was followed by a demonstration run from Freddie Hunt as a tribute to his father James in the stunning 1976 F1 championship winning McLaren M23.

After the run, Freddie was joined for a photo shoot with Formula One legend, Sir Stirling Moss who also provided some interesting insights into his own racing career during an interview with Laura Whitmore later in the evening.

A range of other beautiful 1970s F1 cars were also on display at the event . . .

After an enjoyable three course dinner, the music and dancing began and we were treated to performances from a number of bands including Toploader and a fantastic performance from Eddie Jordan’s band, ‘Eddie and the Robbers’ with Eddie on drums, a real treat for any F1 fan!

A great evening was had by all and Beaulieu One Hundred members would very much like to thank GP Management for their hospitality at what was a very memorable event.

“We were totally astounded with the skills  and talent of both DMC the Magician who completely  fascinated and amazed us, as did Eddie Jordan as the Drummer in his own Band which seemed so strange as we had only ever associated him with Formula 1 motorsport.”

“It was an honour to meet Sir Stirling Moss who is such a remarkable man.”

“A great evening and a chance to meet up with fellow B100 members over good food and wine.”

“A very well run event with some great entertainment and, of course . . . . Cars”

“We would definitely go again if the opportunity arose.”
